About

Ever since I remember that I like everything related to cars, always trying to fix them, breaking them apart, understanding how they work and even building them.

One day I decided to start building a clay scale model of a concept car designed by a Fuore Design, which was then named as the Jaguar XF10. I started by making some sketches, got a bunch of clay, and put my hands on it. After a few months working on it, I got a fairly decent model. Although not an exact replica, I got quite pleased with it. I called this one the mk1.

After the clay model was completed, I decided to make a stronger model. So I went forward with the mk2, a model made with a mix of polyester resin and stone powder, based on the mk1. This was made by making a plaster mold of the mk1 model, which was then poured with the polyester resin. The result was quite surprising. After a few days sanding down the surface, it got a quite decent finish:

Then, after lot of timing without thinking on the project, I got completely mad and though: "What if I did this thing in a real scale?". But then I got even crazier and thought: "What if, instead of making a real scale model, I made the real car?". That was when I started to work on the real scale model with the final purpose of making a real car which could be driven on the road. I know this is far fetched, but if I don't try it, I will never know if I can do it.

Let's see what the future tells :)
